Bank of England Update - 18th September 2025

Interest rates held

The Bank of England have just announced the base rate is being held 4.00%.

According to the BBC, the Bank moves interest rates up and down to try and keep inflation at the 2% target – figures released yesterday by the Office for National Statistics put inflation at 3.8% in the year to August.
